Sogal
SLIDING DOORS FOR WALK-IN CLOSETS AND INTERIOR FURNISHING SOLUTIONS
Created in 1981, Etablissements Sogal is the French leader in made-to-measure interior furnishing solutions (storage units and sliding doors). The Group has 4 production sites in France, where it employs over 550 people. The turnover of the Group amounts to around € 85m.
Sogal products are marketed to a clientele mainly comprising professional traders and DIY stores. In 2010 the Group diversified towards BtoC with the opening of a first point-of-sale: “La Manufacture d'Intérieurs”.
THOM Europe
JEWELLERY RETAILER
THOM (Trésor - Histoire d'Or - Marc Orian) is the new name for the group stemming from the merger of the Marc Orian and Histoire d'Or networks and thus becomes, with 500 stores in Europe, the leading player in the market for jewellery in shopping centres. With its three main brands, Histoire d'Or, Marc Orian and TrésOr, the new group will cover the whole range of the jewellery market, with products from fashion jewellery to jewelled gold jewellery.
THOM employs 3,000 people and represented a consolidated turnover of c. € 370m in 2010.
La Foir'Fouille
DISCOUNT DISTRIBUTION
Founded in 1975, La Foir’Fouille is the French joint leader in the distribution of low-cost household goods and leisure products.
With 185 stores, over 80% of which are franchised, the brand covers the bulk of French territory (including the Overseas Départements) and is present in Belgium, Luxembourg and Spain.
In 2010 the Group generated a brand-name turnover of over € 450m.
Tournus Equipement
DESIGN, MANUFACTURE AND SALE OF STAINLESS STEEL KITCHEN EQUIPMENT
Created in 1912, Tournus Equipement designs, manufactures and sells stainless steel kitchen equipments (fittings, tables, trolleys, cupboards, shelves: “the stainless steel set”) for the commercial kitchens and cafeterias. The company also makes self-service lines and fish counters for supermarkets.
Tournus Equipment sells products through kitchen fitters or specialty distributors. The majority of its sales are made within France.
With regards to kitchen equipment, the end users of Tournus Equipment products are mainly professional catering services (canteens in schools, health care facilities, retirement homes, corporations).
Marais
DESIGN, MANUFACTURE, SALE AND LEASING OF CIVIL ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT
Founded in 1962, Marais is the French leading supplier of trenching machines for the mechanized laying of fiber-optic and energy cables. The group has an unmatched expertise in laying underground cable networks in urban areas through a technique of micro-trenching developed specifically for its Cleanfast and SideCut machines.
The trenchers, which are designed and assembled in-house, are leased as part of a service that includes all technical assistance (operator, mechanics, etc.), or sold to end users in France and across the rest of the world. The group makes more than 30% of its sales outside of France.
DGF
DISTRIBUTION OF RAW MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS TO BAKERY/PASTRY
Created in 1986, DGF is a group of distributors of raw materials and other products (Breads, Pastries, Cakes and Catering) that are sold to bakeries/pastries, restaurants and caterers in France and worldwide to large hotels and restaurants through export agents.
Its business model is based on central structures for the listing and the negotiation of suppliers on behalf of its network. The activities are divided by "dry and fresh" and "frozen" products.
The DGF network has a market share of about 15% and turnover of about €250 million. It benefits from a strong “innovative-quality” positioning that is recognized in France and abroad.
Socotec
TECHNICAL INSPECTION
Founded in 1953, Socotec is a provider of diversified services in the fields of risk management and performance improvement, particularly in the construction and real estate sectors.
Nearly 80% of its turnover comes within the framework of regulatory projects that require supplier certification and/or employee accreditation, more particularly:
- Technical control within construction (33% of turnover)
- Periodic inspection of facilities (33% of turnover)
- Health and safety coordination (9% of turnover)
Socotec operates mainly in France but also enjoys a strong and competitive presence in French overseas territories and an established and developing presence in Africa and in the Middle East.
Carré Blanc
RETAIL OF HOUSEHOLD LINEN
Founded in the early 80s, Carré Blanc is the French leader in the specialist distribution of household linen. Its network consists of 192 outlets in France and 45 abroad, most of which are franchisees. Carré Blanc operates both in city centers and shopping malls and has a retail turnover of about €80 million.
Carré Blanc’s commercial offering, which is enriched by 24 different in-store themes each year, is supported by a strong product identity, a global purchasing policy and the notable flexibility of its distribution system.
Genoyer
EQUIPMENTS AND SERVICES FOR THE OIL, GAS AND WATER INDUSTRIES
Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Vitrolles, Genoyer is a world trading provider of Pipes, Valves, Flanges and Fittings (PVF), mainly for the oil, gas and water sectors.
Genoyer offers its clients - Engineering, Procurement and Construction (or ‘EPC’) companies -, supply, transport and worldwide delivery to sites in order to fulfill all of their PVF needs. Genoyer products are involved in oil company exploration projects (upstream), complex petrochemical operations (downstream), water projects and nuclear plants.
Genoyer operates 12 industrial sites (including 8 in Europe) for the manufacturing of some PVF products as well as a large trading office and 15 sales offices worldwide to ensure Genoyer can meet all of its clients needs.
FEU VERT / IMPEX
AUTO CENTERS AND RETAIL OF AUTOMOTIVE SPARE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES
Founded in the early 1970s, Feu Vert and Impex are leaders in their respective markets.
Number one in France with a market share estimated at about 25% of the auto center channel, Feu Vert’s operations consist of 308 auto centers in France, of which 176 are franchisees. Feu Vert also has an international presence, in Spain where its subsidiary Feu Vert Iberica is the market leader with 81 centers, as well as in Poland (20 centers) and Portugal (8 centers). The group is also present in the automotive glass business through its subsidiary Mondial Pare-Brise, which has a network of 240 outlets, principally operated as franchises.
Impex is a leading car and bike parts and accessories provider to mass retailers such as hypermarkets and special retailers. It has a supply subsidiary in Asia, and is also present in Italy, the Benelux region, Spain and Portugal.
Quick
FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS
Founded in the 1970s in Belgium, Quick is one of the largest European fast food restaurant chains. With a market share exceeding 20%, Quick is the second largest player in the French hamburger market, and the leader in Belgium, with a market share of 59% by number of restaurants. The group includes nearly 480 restaurants in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Morocco, Algeria and Russia, of which 80% are franchise outlets, and generates system-wide-sales of €1 billion in 2010.
Quick continues to strengthen its presence in its home markets (France, Belgium and Luxembourg) while implementing its strategic plan to develop in international markets (Algeria and Russia).
Agro Service 2000
DISTRIBUTION OF AGRICULTURAL AND GARDENING MATERIALS
Created in 1982, Agro Service 2000 is a distribution network specialized in products to professionals involved in agriculure, gardening, forestry and DIY (do-it-yourself). Its merchandise includes materials, tools and other supplies.
The company operates 22 stores located in central France, principally in the Auvergne, Limousin and Bourgogne, which together account for 80% of turnover and more recently in the South east (10% of turnover).
In 2008, Agro Service 2000 initiated a strategic plan to diversify its distribution of agricultural products and tools for gardeners and farmers with the acquisition of two specialty retail outlets (7% of turnover).
Frères Blanc
RESTAURANTS
Frères Blanc traces its origins back to 1937 with the acquisition of the restaurant Au Pied de Cochon, located near Les Halles in Paris. The group Frères Blanc developed gradually during the 1970s with the successive acquisition of several renowned Parisian brasseries including L’Alsace, Le Procope, Le Grand Café, La Lorraine and Charlot Roi des Coquillages. That growth accelerated in 1989 with the launch of the restaurant chain Chez Clément.
Comprising 25 restaurants, organized into two divisions - Brasseries and Chez Clement, Frères Blanc is today one of the major operators of traditional restaurants in Paris.
